Sadly the More the Merrier is no more....

Many thanks for your entries for this month - they are smashing and please vote for our winner. As you will see from the blog numbers have dwindled over the last few months and I think the More the Merrier has run it's natural course so sadly there will be no more challenges.

I really would like to thank you all for your wonderful entries and for always being so friendly and nice to our little group - you have become more than ladies who make cards, you have become my friends.

You can still catch me on my own blog here and Linda is a DT member on Kaboodledoodles if you fancy doing a weekly challenge with them - they are a lovely bunch too.

LINDA'S CHALLENGE FOR SEPTEMBER

This is a cracker ! (sorry about the pun) and if possible I would really like to see work from everyone......

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR PHOTOS TO ME UNTIL THE 24TH OF SEPTEMBER - REASON BEHIND THIS IS THAT I AM LESS LIKELY TO MISS ONE OF YOU OUT LIKE I DID TO POOR JEANETTE LAST MONTH ! THEY WILL BE POSTED UP ON THE 25TH AS USUAL FOR VOTING


September challenge.

1. A Christmas card!

2. Create your own background card/paper using stamps, inks, paint or anything else you can think of - the more creative the better.

3. Make your own Christmas embellishment to go on the card using geometric shapes. (i.e. circles, triangles, squares, rectangles)

4. Add brads and ribbons to your card.

5. Make it * * * * * * * * * sparkle. * * * * * * * * *

Cake Decorating Competition Results

Cake, Cake and more Cake

Hi Ladies, thanks to everyone that submitted a cake slice for judging by Steph and Kate over at Papertrey - from the feedback I have had some found it really difficult to do and even gave up after a few attempts ! I am sure you will agree that the cake slices are all truly lovely so we'll leave it to Steph and Kate to judge them and the winner and runner up will both receive a prize.

Cake decorating competition

Kate & Steph are delighted to judge our competition for our piece of cake decorating challenge - Kate is away until 17th August - so to tie in with Kate I have decided to give you a few more days to make and decorate your slices. Closing date is now the 17th of August, I will then post them up on the blog and Kate and Steph can judge. Remember their is a prize for the winner and runner up!

A cake making competition.... well a slice

Hi Girls

Our ABC challenge is due to finish and the new one will be set by our winner next week but I was having a little chat with my good friend Linda and I thought it would be fun to set another challenge to finish on the 14th of August for a cake decorating competition.

You will see from the pictures that I have made some cake slices (I can not take the credit for this design or the idea as it came from the very charming Steph over at Papertrey who made a whole beautiful cake and filled them with chocolates and promptly gave them away.

Now my plan is that if you want to take part then hopefully I should be able to send you files with the pattern enlarged accordingly and the instructions which are ever so easy to follow (just leave me a comment on this blog posting and I will get back to you - please bear in mind that I only have email access during the working week). No printer ? Not a problem, get in touch and I will send a pattern and instructions out via snail mail for you.

Once you have them then design your slice of cake, adding whatever you want to it then email me 2 photos, one showing the top of the slice and one showing the side of the slice. (you only have to do one slice not a whole cake - please do not send pictures of the whole cake as this is unfair on everyone else's entry) Both pictures will be judged.

Then and not before all of the pieces will go up on the blog. I'm going to ask the lovely Steph and Kate from papertrey to judge a winner for me and a runner up. THERE WILL BE A PRIZE for both.

CHALLENGE 4 - BY LINDA

Hi Girls

Linda has set this months' challenge and I think we will enjoy this one as much as the others we have done.

So in her own words.....


The theme of the challenge is ABC. The idea is to make a card with each of those letters - for example A an Angel stamp, B for Buttons, C for Chipboard. Another example is A for Adorable (a word of your choice beginning with A), B for Bling, C for Charm. It doesn't have to be those items, but whatever is put on the card has to begin with ABC.

So I hope to see lots of cards for this one - come on all of you that say you are too busy - lets have as many as possible - closing date 26th of July, cards will be posted up 27th of July, vote as soon as possible but only if you have entered a card......
